Mary E. Wingo is not a career politician. She is a proven public servant, and there is a big difference.

Mary served the U.S. Department of War for 36 years. She retired with 33 years' service as a distinguished civilian leader but soon came back to provide another 3 years' service as a contractor. Mary mastered acquisition logistics, project management, business management, contract execution, and all the while delivering results under the most demanding oversight in government. The Department recognized her achievements and bestowed on her some of the highest level of civilian service awards: Meritorious Civilian Service Medal and Civilian Service Commendation Medal. Mary holds a Master of Science in Logistics Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Her husband, Terry, is a Louisville native and retired military veteran with a combined 40+ years of active duty Air Force, civilian, and contractor service to the U.S. Department of War. Together, she and Terry have built a blended family with three amazing children and blessed with four grandchildren. Mary will tell you that her greatest accomplishment is being a mother and grandmother.

When they came home to Louisville, Mary didn't just move here, she chose this community and got to work. Here's how she is serving the community.
