Pull Up a Chair, Louisville: Thank You for a Wonderful Spaghetti Dinner!

Neighbors gathered around the table for dinner and conversation at our second Meet & Greet
What a night! On Tuesday, September 23rd, Louisville Mayoral candidate Mary E. Wingo, along with Alderman candidates Keith Simmons and Angela Harrington, welcomed neighbors back to the Town of Louisville Community Center for our second Meet & Greet – and once again, Louisville showed up in a big way.
This time we served up a free spaghetti dinner, complete with fresh salad, warm garlic bread, and a table full of homemade desserts. The room was filled with familiar faces from our first Meet & Greet, plenty of folks we were meeting for the very first time, and lots of good conversation from the moment the doors opened until the last plate was cleared.
But the best part of the evening wasn't the food – it was the chance to simply sit down with our neighbors. We pulled up chairs, shared a meal, and talked about the things that matter most to you – from roads and infrastructure, to how our town grows, to keeping Louisville's small-town character and making sure local government stays open and accountable to the people it serves.
We believe those conversations are the most important part of this campaign. You can't truly understand what a community needs from a mailer or a yard sign. It takes time, it takes listening, and it takes sitting across the table from the people you hope to serve. Every question you asked, every concern you raised, and every idea you shared helps shape the work ahead. That's exactly what "Expect More. Expect Better!" is all about: a town government that listens first and works for everyone.
To everyone who came out – thank you! Thank you for your time, your honesty, your ideas, and for spending your evening with us. Meeting our neighbors face-to-face is the best part of this campaign, and we're grateful for every conversation.

Our amazing kitchen crew! Front: Linda Simmons and Sonya Emert. Back: Jillian Ottinger, Keith Simmons, Angela Harrington, and John Emert.
We would also like to extend a very special thank you to our wonderful volunteers – Linda Simmons, Sonya Emert, Jillian Ottinger, and John Emert – along with everyone else who pitched in. To those who set up the tables, chairs, and decorations and stayed afterwards to help clean up, and to those who prepared and served the meal and baked all of those delicious desserts – thank you! Your generosity and hard work made every guest feel welcome, and this evening simply would not have been possible without you.

Our volunteers made sure no one went home hungry.
Missed the dinner? We'd still love to hear from you! Visit our website at www.louisvilletn2026.com to read about our platform, connect with Mary, Keith, and Angela, and share your thoughts. You can also catch us around town – we're always happy to stop and talk about the future of Louisville.
See you soon!
With gratitude,
Mary, Keith, and Angela
