Rain or Shine, Louisville Showed Up: Thank You for a Great Fall Festival!

Mary and Keith visiting with a Louisville family at our Fall Festival booth.
What a day! On Saturday, September 12th, Louisville Mayoral candidate Mary E. Wingo and Alderman candidate Keith Simmons set up shop at the Fall Festival at Louisville Town Hall – and from the first hello to the last handshake, it was a day filled with friendly faces, good conversation, and plenty of small-town spirit.
Throughout the day, we had the honor of visiting with so many citizens of our Town – longtime neighbors, old friends, and plenty of new ones, too. Whether you've called Louisville home for decades or just moved in down the road, it was a real pleasure getting to know you.
Of course, no festival is complete without a little Tennessee weather! A brief rain shower rolled through in the afternoon, but it didn't slow anyone down. Folks kept right on coming by the booth to say hello and share what was on their minds – and that says a lot about the kind of community we have here.
To keep everyone refreshed, we handed out free ice-cold bottles of water, homemade brownies, and bags of trail mix, along with our campaign literature for anyone who wanted to learn more about where we stand.
Most importantly, we listened. You shared your concerns, your hopes, and your vision for Louisville's future – from roads and infrastructure, to how our town grows, to keeping local government open and accountable to the people it serves. Those conversations matter. They remind us why we're running, and they help shape the work ahead. That's exactly what "Expect More. Expect Better!" is all about: a town government that listens first and works for everyone.
To everyone who stopped by – thank you! Thank you for your time, your honesty, your ideas, and for braving the raindrops to visit with us. And a big thank you to the festival organizers and volunteers who worked hard to put on such a wonderful event for our community.
Missed us at the festival? We'd still love to hear from you! Visit our website at www.louisvilletn2026.com to read about our platform, connect with us, and share your thoughts. You can also catch us around town – we're always happy to stop and talk about the future of Louisville.
